I've added this section to my page to give you a better understanding of colors.
Color Values
Colors are defined by a hexadecimal number or code, where the overall color is determined by its proportion of red, green, and blue.
Consider the examples below.
#d6194b
The first two values in the code indicate the amount of red in the color. The next two indicate
the amount of green, and the last two indicate the amount of blue. There are 16 values and over 16 million colors in all.
0 is the lowest value, and F is the highest.
#550000
#ee0000
In this example, color value #ee0000 has more red than #550000.

The Browser Safe Palette
The Browser Safe Palette is a collection of 216 colors that are "safe" for 256-color displays.
If you use a color that's not part of the Browser Safe Palette, then some browsers may display either the nearest color or a spotty color.
To use this palette: Simply click on any color and you'll see a display showing the color you chose as the background, and text.
Using Color Names
If hexadecimal color values still perplex you, try using easier-to-remember color names. There are 140 defined color names in all.
However, most of these colors are not part of the Browser Safe Palette, so in order to see all the colors you must have a display
higher than 256 colors. Click on any color name here.
